Christmas Puzzles

For Christmas this year I made giant puzzles, Sheldon turned it into a scavanger hunt, and they had to collect all the pieces, then the kids had to put them together and figure out what they stood for. Disneyland! We are going in January with Shaun and Pam Family. It took help from us, for them to figure out what they represented.

Abin's Tooth Accident continues...

I took Abin back in for his 10 day check up, his tooth started turning purple which is normal for a tramatized tooth. We decided to pull it, since it was absessing at the root, which then would cause damage to the permant tooth. I can live with a Hillbilly of a Son for the next three/four years, but I would be mad at myself if I ruined his adult tooth.

Abin's Tooth Accident

Abin took a face plant to the marble floor, while needliest to say cut his lower lip, and loosed up one of his front teeth, I took him to the dentist (after I treated myself for Shock..not kidding! lay down, elevate the feet, hot flashes, I was shaking! it was crazy), poor boy had to wait for me to recover before I could help him, he just stood their holding the towel on his mouth. They said he has a 50% chance of loosing the tooth. Good news it is a baby tooth, bad news its going to turn dark if it does stay in his mouth. He has to be on Amoxillican for 10 days, warm salt water rinse daily, and liquid or soft foods.

So many awesome things to say about Glamis (Imperial sand dunes in SE CA)
We spend our Thanksgiving with family down there, and we even have the full Thanksgiving meal.

These are pictures of updated landscape, that is still a work in progress but will continue in the spring.This is going towards the backyard.

We added rock along the main road, on both sides of our driveway.This will be a driveway wall, with light post.More plants/trees will be planted in the circle, and stack stone needs to be added to the outside. These big rocks are at the driveway entry. One on each side.

These are not yet finished, they are concrete, made to look like boulders, they still need plaster and color added.

Alexis Braces!

Alexis got braces on the 5th of Jan..She wasn't to excited about them, the poor girl has so many BIG teeth in such a little mouth. In fact she is going to have to have 8 more teeth pulled in about 6 months. 4 baby molars and 4 premolars that will be a total of 12 teeth all together. She already had 4 baby canines pulled about 9 months ago. The braces are only on the top 4 front teeth, and they are already straightening out.

Sheldon's Mom bought these last year, and they wouldn't put them on. This year they found them in my Christmas supply box. Aren't they Cute?

Here is our Giant Christmas Tree..in all her glory..She is beautiful!! (15 ft tall) What a pain, we even took the tree apart, because the top was leaning, and we had to figure out why?

No school today or tomarrow, so they went outside, and played! They even made snow angels, sorry I wasn't going outside to take pictures..too cold for me.

Annual Thanksgiving Trek to Glamis, CA

Every year we go to Glamis, Ca (Imperial Sand Dunes) during Thanksgivings Week. We spend 7 1/2 days there and 4 1/2 days traveling. The whole family looks forward to this vacation.

The older kids have their own ATV's, and are awesome riders. Here are a few of the pictures that were taken. I will try to get more from my sister-in-laws.

This is why I love this vacation..I read magazines outside in the 85* temp while the kids play in a HUGH sand box.
Abin spent a lot of time opening and shutting the trailer door.

This is most of the crew that was there around the campfire. The kids were busying playing with there glow sticks, and blinky necklaces (tradition, the kids get 5 a night).

This is the kids at night with their glow sticks and blinky necklaces..they were sand surfing. They get creative, they even invited a game called "We ow We ow" which basically is flashlight tag & hide and go seek in one.

I wish i would have had more time, Yes they were almost late for school. I would have curled, colored, and gone even more crazy had I thought about what I wanted to do.

I wanted to make Alexis' hair at top like a helicopter, and Salara's would have been cool, all different colors mixed with braids and curls. Oh well next Wacky Hair Day.

TIME OUT FOR WOMAN

Sorry to bum bard you with a million entries today, but I have to do it when I can.

A bunch of us went to a church program called "Time out for Woman" sponsored by Deseret Books, There are motivational speakers and music. It's held on Friday night and Saturday Day. This years program consisted of Kenneth Cope, Cherie Call, Emily Watts, Chieko Okazaki, Jason Deere, Dan Truman & Friends, Elia Gourgourgis, Camille Fronk Olson, Mary Ellen Edmunds. Its fun being surrounded by Friends when we get to feel of the Spirit together.

This is Sister Chieko Okazaki,She is so tiny, She talked about

"Principles that matter"

here is a little background on her..(Chieko N. Okazaki was the first non-Caucasian to serve on a general board of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a counselor in the general Relief Society presidency from 1990 to 1997. She is the author of several bestselling books and tapes. She and her husband, the late Ed Okazaki, have two sons, and she was a 2nd grade elementary teacher.)

These two guys are from the Friends part of Jason, Dan, Tony, Tim and two other guy. Made a Cd about Joseph Smith called Joseph: A Nashville Tribute to the Prophet & the one on the Pioneers. Dunne Cabin

A weekend at The Dunne Cabin! near Shelton, Wa. Went with three other families, The Godsil's, Friess' and The other Harmon's and played all day in the sun and water.Sheldon took all the kids out for a kayak ride.
We caught some wildlife, we swam, we boated, and we wore the kids out!

Abinadi's first lizard, he wanted to hold it by himself but I knew he would squeeze it.

Kids Ready to go for a boat ride! They enjoyed the sunshine, warm weather and we even took them tubeing, I am sad I didn't have a waterproof camera (I was in the tube with each kid), Alexis went under the wake three times..and still continued to want to go faster. (Anyone who knows Alexis..she would have been the first NOT to go in the tube, I am glad she did.)
